So,
I'm back from my 6 day vacation in Vail, Colorado
Just me and my sweetheart . . . .
we did take a few friends with us,
but the quality time with Michael was perfectly wonderful
Michael skied every square inch of Eagle Mountain and the back bowls
while I had . . .
a manicure
a pedicure
an absolutely marvelous massage
spent hours in a Pearl hot tub in a very warm and quiet room
read two books
took 45 minute showers (without help from my 3 yr old)
afternoon naps 4 days in a row
watched Seinfeld& Friends reruns by myself & laughed out loud
ate too much for lunch then splurged on coffee treats & ice cream in the afternoons
I love my husband more than I even remembered! That may sound strange to say, but even for a marriage without real 'trouble' . . . we take advantage of who we really are to each other. We mistake our efforts at home for 'job requirements' instead of acts of service.
We wake up 'on-duty' for the kids instead of being there for each other. And we make statements of true love and sincerity, mere greetings at the back door . . .
Vail was beautiful.
A relaxing vacation was a blessing.
