I'm not super girl or overly ambitious. I'm a wife (and a very lucky one at that) and a mommy (and a very busy one too). But I have dreams of my own. Some have been with me a very long time and some are brand new! Some I wrote down in college and some have just been added to my Dream Poster!

What?

You don't have a dream poster? Well then how do you know what you're working toward? Saving for? Planning on? Watching happen before your eyes? As I see it . . . planning is just preparing yourself for the prayers you are saying. Dreaming is giving God total control of what IS POSSIBLE and not just waiting for what seems most likely to happen.

The Bible says "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Proverbs 29:18). An effective visions is one that will motivate you to work through the boring of difficult times, guiding your efforts to make the right choices, ask for help along the way, and see your visions through to completion! So how can you be motivated by a vision that you can't see or may even hardly remember when the days are long?

I heard a saying at a Mary Kay Retreat last year a statement that has been taped above my computer, along with other remarkable quotes and scripture passages. But this particular line reads "You cannot create, that which you cannot see . . ."
So I knew that in order to have it, I had to create it so that I could see it each day . . . thus, my dream poster! It's not fancy but hangs in my little Mary Kay closet at home. Leah, my then 3 year old, helped me to tape and glue the items on the poster board as we talked about each one. She didn't fully understand what it was all about, but seeing Mickey Mouse pictures in a Disney world at the very top of the poster got and kept her attention. So that every time I left the house to do "Mary Kay Meetings" as she called it, she was fully aware that Mommy is working on her dreams . . . some of which include Disney World!

I also had in my 2009 Dream line that I wanted to move to the next level (of team management) in Mary Kay, which is called the Red Jacket! I achieved this in May and moved in to Team leader in November! Here I am with my Official Red Jacket!

I have lots more to work toward in 2010 and even the years after this one. I'll add to my poster and smile proudly when I look at those little picture cutouts that were once just dreams on a board! But they all mean something to me, for my family, for our future. And I thank God for giving me the energy to 'work' this way and still be here for my family!
