found?

How does it happen . . .?

I just popped in to visit one of the blogs I stalk, I mean follow :),
and she had 101 comments-
well, her mom is a world renowned speaker, so no wonder she has some readers, right?

I have friends too, all over the world, in fact . . . (yes, that's me attempting to band aid my wounded ego)

and then another site I like to visit had over 52 just from today! How does that happen?
Well she always has a great story, encouraging words, and advice from one mom to another . . . And I know that while I enjoy writing, my style may not be appreciated or follower-worthy. I AM NOT the expert on motherhood nor do I own a cute antique ship with thousands of objects to photograph & post, but I'd like to think my life is interesting (that you mom & Nancy for agreeing with that one:) I may not have a legendary tale to tell, but I think we all have a story to share.

And there are a couple of blogs I enjoy and have no idea how I actually found them, from London and somewhere in Australia . . .and even these women have a HUGE following!!!
Who are these women, where did their readers come from?

Now, I DO NOT
need a following,
stalkers,
or even a fan club!
I don't want to be famous or infamous
or even added to your favorites list. . .
but I just wonder
what it would feel like to be found . . .

don't we all ?

Yes. We do. Or, I do. But then, I don't really want my blog to be "found" because it's more like a mass email to all my friends and family than a blog -- but to have people get to know me (my work, my writing, my life, some part of me) and to be sincerely delighted/interested is incredibly appealing. I think it was in your Bible study way back when that I first heard these words:
"Everyone wants to Love and Be Loved,
Know and be Known." (there were 2 other things that everyone wants, but I've forgotten them. I didn't think they were as important, I guess...) And I think that's true, and it's why the desire to be "found" is so strong. It would mean that people Know us to some degree or another, and that they Love us.
So, for starters, I Know you and Love you Kristen!
