As you know Michael's Mom, Gran, had her first round of Chemo on Tuesday . . . and today she is feeling it. Just from talking with her it sounds like EXTREME morning sickness, mixed with the pains of the flu. Hopefully her meds will take the edge off and help her just sleep the day away . . . until tomorrow!
But, here's what brings a smile to her brave face . . .
her prayer pager!
It was bought for her by the Sunday school class she and Ralph attend in Gainesville and the plan is simple. You pray for Mary, and then dial her pager number to let her know that she is being lifted up to the Father, the Healer, the Savior at that very moment!
What a great encouragement.
If you want to pray for Mary and page her when you do, just let me know and I'll happily give you the number. She always reports the large numbers of pages that ring through to her as the day goes on and I can tell it is a huge spirit lifter. So Thanks in advance.
More good news, is that the doctors say she will only have to go for 4 rounds of Chemo instead of 6 . . . she will still feel yucky after each time, but the Cancer will be GONE (so will her hair).
