I am simply amazed at the selflessness some people exhibit. I'm not even sure if that's exactly what I mean, but the fact that I can't put it into words emphasizes that I . . . am for sure . . . not selfless.
Some of you may know that I do honestly hold a desire to one day adopt a child but I accidentally (providentially) stumbled upon a show last night on the Discovery Channel that has me . . . simply amazed.
The Murphy Family lives in Morrow, GA and has 27 children. Now, this is not the Dugger family (on TLC) who are the Quaker-looking group in which the mother has actually BIRTHED 17+ children. The Murphys have four of their own kids (all grown) and 23 adopted- all with severe handicaps & special needs. I was amazed at this woman's sanity and calm spirit and readiness to trust that God would provide for their $1500 a month grocery bill. And I was awed by the dad's patience with children who cannot understand you, obey you, or fully love you back . . .
Anyway, without replaying the entire program for you, I just want to lift up the Murphy family tonight and ask for sweet blessings for the parents and every soul that God has purposefully brought there.

We saw this too. So hard- especially the children that have degenerative issues.
