For a long time now, I have been an fan of TMZ, ET, Access Hollywood, PEOPLE Magazine, and all of the mindless trash talk about the facinating and completely rountine daily lives of
. . . the stars!
Hollywood is not a place I need to visit, but I love to live out the normal & ridiculous alongside the Girls Next Door, The Newlyweds, Kimora, The Kardashians, & all of the other 'reality' shows that simply follow these stars around as if they really are so much different than you or me . . . but that's just it. They're not any different.
They eat junk food then feel guilty, they hope to meet the right guy, they want to start families and be successful moms too. They make mistakes, they breakdown, they hurt and rejoice.
They just do it under a microscope. But most importantly,
He knows their names, has their days numbered, and has a valued purpose for thier existance. I realize that, and so when news breaks that a tragedy has taken place . . . I weep for them.
It may sound silly, but if you know me well enough, you know I was very, very sad when I learned of Jessica & Nick's seperation on Thanksgiving day 2005 . . . I prayed so hard for them.
And even harder, I must admit, for Britney & her babies as she dealt with deamons of her own last year. And just like you, I cried at the news from Nashville about Stephen Curtis Chapman's little girl killed in a home accident in May. . . and I prayed, all day, for that family.
Not because they'll ever know the difference and not beacuse I'll ever know them, but because, He knows their names!
My heart breaks tonight for Jennifer Hudson. Dreamgirls was not my favorite movie, but beacuse she is a child of God who has a broken heart and may feel like an orphan tonight . . .
I just pray for her and all the stars under heaven.

I saw The Secret Life of Bees with Mom on Saturday. It was wonderful, and Jennifer was outstanding. It was definitely a tear jerker. A new movie release should be a happy time for her, but she will always remember it as the time her personal life was so shattered.
