Well I sort feel like that these days. Read this not as a complaint-fest but rather an acknowledgement that I can recognize Satan at work when I see it . . .
but I have spoken it OUT LOUD, that Satan cannot:
~ mess with God's purpose for this week and weekend (Nancy & Dave's Wedding in NYC)
~ screw up this family's plans for a wonderful trip to celebrate what God is doing in their lives
~ invade the health of any of us (Preston is getting over the stomach bug while Leah got bit in the face at school today)(crazy!)
~ or meddle in the petty details that are in actuality important, like flight delays, catering miscommunication, any other small wedding detail that can go awry.
Put on the full armor of God,
so that you will be able
to stand firm
against the schemes
of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11
But in the end, on Sunday . . .
they will be married!
Forever, Mr. & Mrs. Hollinghurst . . . only death can separate them after this weekend!
This is HUGE
and Nancy if you're reading this, let it ALL sink in right now. . . . . . . . . . .
You're about to be a WIFE! Your job is to love nurture, & respect your husband, thinking of his need before your own and cheering him on to success and be his inspiration. Respect is different from anything that you will ever crave, but it is what makes a husband motivated to love his wife . . . the respect she gives him.
And Dave, if you're here too . . . understand that I've been exactly where you are (not as groom, but you know what I mean.) And believe from the depth of your heart, that THIS was all pre-arranged . . . set in motion by your Creator Himself! This was no accident . . . the two of you meeting and connecting and falling in love. Your love has a purpose and so this marriage has a purpose. Love her, listen quietly and don't try to fix it all . . . just be there to pick her up and encourage her dreams!
(great book called Love & Respect- ideal for ALL marriages)!
See, I know who is in control of this week, these plans, the plane flights, hotel reservations, wedding details and who is King of New York City . . . so be gone Satan!
You are not invited!
Psalm 81:10
"I am the Lord
YOUR God!

Amen amen amen girl! You just keep speaking that out loud. I'm so glad sweet Preston is doing better, and I am saying a prayer of protection over the weekend right now!
