* First let me say that this playlist ROCKS and took me back to college life. Enjoy this & turn it up!
It was August of 1993, I was a Freshman at Samford University and came to Alabama to meet new friends. Only to find out that I was TERRIFIED to have been dropped into this sort of "instant" family . . . a sisterhood, they called it.
Was I really a PHI MU?
Well apparently so, but I'll have to admit that I forced myself to stay put for a couple of months. I wasn't really sure I need this, I didn't really need them I had plenty of fabulous and life-long friends back home . . .
Well, It turns out . . . I was a Phi Mu and apparently still am! After all I did work at the National Office for almost 3 years after graduation and then decided to round up some Alum in Columbia, SC and start a brand new Alumnae chapter there.
And most of those girls, I still keep in touch with. We make certain of that! From weddings to reunions . . . . Phi Mu just seems to stay with us, no matter where we live or who we've turned out to be!
After all, I still have those fabulous childhood friends and we are all 'back home' together again . . .but that pledge class of 1993 . . .the Phis . . . well, we are a different connection all together! Maybe it was just the letters on the house that brought us together, but without question . . . it's all just part of God's plan to keep us united like this, for that long! After all, we are a random bunch of girls, none of us are the same as we were when it all started, all of us have been through a valley or two, and most of us have been there to celebrate all kinds of tremendous joy!
16 years . . . .

Well, I believe you said it better than anyone could have! Time flies when you're having fun---those four short years slipped away so quickly! Now look at us-- it's been FOUR TIMES that many years and we keep on making memories. Thanks for your hard work on planning this latest event. Should be a blast, and I sure wish I could make the entire weekend!
Have fun!!!!
