We've been playing dress up for weeks now, in practice for our upcoming trip to Disney world (just 13 days away).
The house will stay decorated & festive- with jackolanterns aglow!
We've got two pumpkins full of candy to keep us content (from the festival at church on Wednesday), the Georgia/Florida game is at 3 and the chili will be on the stove . . . . so it'll be a perfect Halloween Saturday, despite the rain.
someone in this house gets his turn at being Captain Hook for our little Tinkerbell & Peter Pan . . . so mommy can try out her Cinderella costume! (oh yes, I' need my practice too, for breakfast at the castle with my little princess)
oh, yeah, this is a homemade baby! My mom & my Gran used to wear this Pirate costume when I was little. So I was bringing out the old traditions of handmade numbers when I slapped some black felt to a $1 Pirate hat and taped white coffee filters to my tshirt and called myself Captain Hook. (& yes, that coat is handmade too, but not by these hands).
And while I did buy these two angles their Halloween numbers this year . . . I must give my mother applause for ALWAYS coming up with FANTASTIC Halloween numbers for me and my sister. She's a homemade Halloween kinda lady for three decades now! Thanks mom, in case I never told you that before! For the witch & Casper the Ghost, Miss Piggy, rubix cube, Holly Hobby, Peter Pan and so many more . . .
Happy Halloween &
Go Dawgs!
PS- the forecast already looks better . . . may be some some candy hunting after all- YAY :)
