As a mother,

I dream of my daughter's first ballet recital-

well, it's tomorrow!

As a dancer,

I pray she feels confident,

beautiful,

and worthy of the applause!

This is Leah's favorite ballerina photo of her mommy -circa 1990. She says I look like Cinderella . . yup, poor Cinderella during her braces & bad bangs stage.

I expect very little from this performance so as not to disappoint myself . . .

Leah will be happy, just to have the costume on

She is, after all, only 4 years old

But to know that she CAN do this, and if she did, she would forever LOVE dance . . .

my only prayer is that her little heart is happy and that I do not miss the opportunity to find the very best part of tomorrow's recital, and capture it in praise for her,

so she can relive it again, and again

so she knows that her mommy is proud of her

so I can teach her the lesson of scripture

"whatever your hands (or feet) find to do, do it well and with all of your might"

This delights our Maker and is worship to our God!
